Pennridge Improvement Project (PIP) was formed in the summer of 2021 after the sudden halt to Pennridge School District’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives.
As mothers with children in the district, we were concerned about how these actions could create gaps in their education and make vulnerable students and staff feel more marginalized. We saw a need for someone to provide these resources & opportunities for community engagement in the absence of them within our school district. From this, PIP was born.
Our goal is to foster the sense of belonging and acceptance for everyone in our district and to make all children feel they are valued for who they are. We feel one of the best ways to accomplish this is through community involvement.
Together with wonderful members of our community, volunteers and other local non-profit organizations, we hope to lift one another up and strengthen this sense of togetherness among us.
